Change the PrintMaster® Default Font

PrintMaster® 4 uses a default font of Tiempo. Editing the pmw.ini file can change this default font.
Complete these procedures as necessary to change the default font.
Windows® 95
- Close all programs and return to the desktop.
- Click on Start, select Find and click on Files or Folders.
- Type PMW.INI in the Named: line.
- In the Look in: line, select the drive where PrintMaster® 4 was installed. Typically this is the C: drive.
- Click Find Now to begin the search. When the search is complete, the pmw.ini file should be listed in the bottom pane of the Find window.
- Double-click the pmw.ini file. The Pmw.ini-Notepad window will open.
- Add the following statement to the bottom of the file, under the Sound statement:
[Fonts]
DefaultFace="name of font"
- After the DefaultFace= entry, replace "name of font" with the name of the font you would like PrintMaster® to default to.
Here is an example:
[Fonts]
DefaultFace="Arial"
- Click File in the menu bar and then select Save.
- Click File in the menu bar and then select Exit.
- Launch PrintMaster® 4.0. The chosen font style will now appear when typing text in a new project.
Windows® 3.1- Close all programs.
- Open File Manager.
- Click File in the menu bar and select Search. The Search window will open.
- Type PMW.INI in the Search For: line.
- Type C:\PMW in the Start From: line.
NOTE: C:\PMW is the default directory for PrintMaster® 4.0. If the program was installed to another location, navigate to that location.
- Click OK to begin the search. When the search is complete a Search Results window will appear.
- Double-click the pmw.ini file. The Pmw.ini-Notepad window will open.
- Add the following statement to the bottom, under the Sound statement:
[Fonts]
DefaultFace="name of font"
- After the DefaultFace= entry, replace "name of font" with the name of the font you would like PrintMaster® to default to.
Here is an example:
[Fonts]
DefaultFace="Arial"
- Click File in the menu bar and then select Save.
- Click File in the menu bar and then select Exit.
- Launch PrintMaster® 4.0. The chosen font style will now appear when typing text in a new project.
